How do we adapt the content to create a functional and beautiful site which showcases the vision of the company?
TransElectric Corporation was looking to optimize the user experience of a sustainable energy company's platform by implementing a redesigned interface fostering increased user engagement in support of the company's mission to promote sustainable energy practices.
The initial step involved reviewing and organizing the provided content to streamline the development of the site's architecture. Content was simplified into sections and a site map.
Now with the site mapped and content outlined, it was time to work on some wires. I wanted to ensure I was using different page layouts to enhance user experience and promote better organization of content.
I employed diverse layouts to create visual interest, improve navigation, and optimize the presentation of information, ultimately enhancing the overall usability and effectiveness of the website.
With the content reviewed, analyzed, and organized, it was time to build out some Hi-Fi prototypes for the client to review. Below are three options I provided that included animation/illustration, bold and strong colors, and an earth conscious feel.
After some collaboration and discussions with the client, it was determined the blue and strength of the second version and the overall layout of the third version worked best for his vision. With these ideas combined, a new site was born.
Photography and video was curated and added to the site and some modern and simple design elements were incorporated to create the final product. Below are samples of the pages and you can check out the live site here.
I was really proud and honored to work with a company that values our planet and sustainability. I also want to help and this was a great way to do my part. The client was extremely pleased with the final site and has had numerous people tell him how great the site looks. Preview the site here.
Something I learned... responsive layouts for mobile need some extra time and review to ensure spacing is best for that size.
